Ultimate Gifting Season!
Ultimate Gifting Season!
With Christmas and New Year round the corner, most of us must be drained with what to buy as a present. Just the thought of it can leave some of us exhausted and confused mostly because of all the sales and offers that we see wherever we go. It's not important to gift something expensive or branded. As long as it is gifted with love and effort, that's more than enough and rather your receiver should be more than thankful for it.
Below is a list of gift ideas to make your journey of buying the perfect gift less stressful:
1. Parents First:
Remember however old you are, gifting your parents should never be a burden to you. They have sacrificed their everything for you to live happy and safe. They will always accept and appreciate the smallest gift that you give them.
- Handmade Card:
When I was just a student with no job or income, even a small handmade card with a simple message gave me the joy of seeing my parents smile wide.
- Meal Treat:
Prepare a meal for your parents and give them a day off. If you aren't that great with cooking and don't trust yourself in the kitchen, take them out for a meal and this time, instead of letting your parents pay the bill, pay for it yourself.
- Collage/Montage of your togetherness:
If you are a crafty person, make a collage of your togetherness. With advanced technology, you can just make a montage online and play the video for your parents.
2. Your Little Bundle of Joy:
The joy on the face of your little bundle of joy unwrapping his/her gift matches no other. Step back and try to notice what are his/her likes and dislikes. What is he/she interested in.
A child is so innocent that they sometimes blurt out what they want as their present, so try being alert.
- A trip to the amusement park/Children's resort:
You can surprise your child with tickets to the amusement park or children's resort. What better than Disney World (if you have one in your country). If that is out of your budget, and your child is old enough to take their own decisions (age: 10-14) take them out shopping and let them choose what they want.
- Toys/Gadget:
As a parent, you can't go wrong with toys for your toddler. You can get something educational for them. If they are into music instruments, bingo! Board games is also a good idea since it can come to use during family nights. If your child is old enough to be playing with toys, gadgets like a new console, an Ipad or a new video game is pretty much a good gift. Just make sure you have set rules on how long they can use it and that they take care of it.
- School supply or outfit:
You can surprise your child with school supplies. Like a set of crayons/color pencils or a new school bag. Even an outfit would do its job.
3. Your Better Half:
"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies". It is important to value your better half, respect them and treat them well for they are going to be with you for the rest of their lives. They are the ones who have been with you during your ups and downs. Gifting them shouldn't be as hard as you think considering you know almost everything about them.
- Dinner date:
You can't go wrong with a dinner date. As a partner, I'm sure you have noticed what his/her taste is when it comes to food. Make an effort and surprise them for this date.
- Limited Edition:
Anything customized for your partner will make them feel special. Be it a mug, a mobile case, a frame. Nowadays, you can even make your own perfume or cologne. As long as it is custom-made only for them, they will know the effort put into it and will appreciate it for sure
- Vacay mood on:
If your better half has a favorite tv show, you can gift her tickets to go watch the show live. If your man is into sports, you can gift him tickets to a match. If both of you love to travel, be it long drives or leisure, you can gift your better half a 3-5 days trip to the destination that has been on their bucket list.
3. Go-To Secret Keeper:-
Your sibling/friend is that person you know you can lean on during your tough times. When you have something heavy inside you that you can't share with people elder than you, it is that person you usually go to to unload your issues or that is the person who understands you.
Since you know this person on a personal level, your options are vague. You can literally get anything for this person. If it's your sibling, keep an eye on what he/she has been eyeing for.
If this person is your friend, your options can't be anymore vague. Anything that catches your eye can make a good present considering you are of the same age and have the same taste.
If you are unable to find what interests your friend/sibling, you can't go wrong with a gift card. Gift cards give them the freedom of choosing what they want.
Happy gifting everybody!
