Nykaa Haul and Review!!!


 

Hey there, enjoyed the sale season?
Here are a few reviews of the products bought and loved from Nykaa, one of the fastest and successfully growing online cosmetic brand. Even though their products are classified as 'drugstore product', in my personal opinion, I think some of its products are just as good if not, better than the high end products available in the market today.
Below are their products which I purchased because I wanted to try it and some of them were products I bought for the second time because of how good it was.


The Nykaa Matte To Last! Liquid lipstick:

The above two liquid lipsticks have been my holy grail and go to lipsticks for events or a night outs. They cost around Rs. 539-Rs. 599. The texture of the lipstick is so wet yet once you give it a few seconds to set, it gets matte and lasts a very very long while. You don't have to worry about your lips looking cracked. 
  • Though the lipstick is matte, it is moisturizing at the same time. It doesn't make your lip feel dried out.
  • You don't have to worry about having to do a touch up or applying a second coat. The lipstick can last for an entire night.
  • It does not smudge or transfer when having to drink from a cup of coffee or a bottle of water, so the worry of having to position your lip in an awkward way to avoid transfer of lipstick/colour is out of the box.
  • Suits cool as well as warm undertones, giving us the best of both worlds.
  • Worth every penny paid!! Would I repurchase this lipstick again? Definitely!! 😘 

Nykaa Gloss it Up! High Shine Lip Gloss

The above gloss has a beautiful colour, packaged in an acrylic/glass tube has however not been my favourite purchases from Nykaa. This gloss costs upto Rs. 450- Rs. 419. That particular shade (01 Honey Boo) definitely compliments the liquid lipstick in the shade 'Jhanvi' but it made it more suitable for a cooler undertone. It does give the lips a shine and makes it look plump but it's just too sticky. More than pros, the cons of the lip gloss is that 
  • it makes the lips sticky and is sticky itself. 
  • The applicator of the gloss is way too big and not as sturdy as the applicator of the liquid lipstick. 
I personally use it only when I apply the liquid lipstick in the shade Jhanvi and for the sake of finishing it off instead of throwing it. Would I repurchase this or recommend this to a friend? I'd have to say 'No'. 😔

Nykaa Serial Kisser lip balm:

The above lip balm is one of my favourites and a must have. It costs upto Rs. 139- Rs. 149. It's size is perfect to just throw in your bag or clutch bag to keep them lips hydrated all day. It's a great moisturizer and an amazing product. The lip balm has a fruity smell and taste. If you are a student, then this is one product that you need to carry with you in your college bag. Would I repurchase this lip balm? Well I am already recommending it to students so that would be a yes! 😁

Nykaa So Matte Lipstick:

This bullet lipstick has become one of my favourites but not my go-to lipstick/holy grail. It costs upto Rs. 279- Rs. 399
  • It has a great texture. It is not too drying and not too wet either. It has the right amount of creaminess. 
  • The colour of the lipstick suits both cool and warm undertones. 
  • Although this lipstick performs well, it requires two strokes for the colour to actually show up. Which is fine by me as long as it isn't ruining my lips.
  • It is very moisturizing on the lip considering the fact that it contains Vitamin E.
  • It can last for up to 4 hours.
  • Smart packaging because the lid of the lipstick is magnetic.
  • The only thing I don't like about this lipstick is that it is not transfer proof.
Would I repurchase this lipstick or recommend it to someone else looking for a lipstick? Yep! 😁

Nykaa Ultra Matte Lipstick:

This is also one of my first purchases from Nykaa. I would say that this lipstick has almost the same properties as the Nykaa So Matte Lipstick. This lipstick costs Rs. 599. But because it's an 'ultra matte' lipstick it requires some tugging and pulling. The lipstick can last for a decent amount of time though it requires one touch up minimum if you are planning to wear it for 5-6 hours. It is nice that you can make out the colour of the lipstick just by looking at it's lid. Would I repurchase this lipstick? Maybe. 😕

Nykaa Lips Don't Lie! Line & Fill  Lip Liner:

 The above lip liner is a good liner if you are on a budget. It costs Rs. 350. It glides very well on the lip and can work with almost any shade ranging from pink to nude. It is long lasting and does not need a touch up unless you really want it's colour to pop. Overall, it's a good lip liner and worth the money. I even made a second order when my mom came to me telling me that she ran out of lip liners. 😂

Nykaa Matte-ilicious Crayon Lipstick:

This lip crayon has been my go-to lip crayon, whether it's an event or just grocery shopping. It costs Rs. 524- Rs. 699. 
  • It is very very creamy yet gives the lip a matte finish.
  • It usually comes with a free sharpener.
  • It is very long lasting. I'd say about 5-6 hours.
  • It does not require constant sharpening. 
  • This crayon does not really need lip contouring. Glides smoothly and beautifully on the lip.
  • It is transfer proof, unless you apply way too much of the product on your lips. 
Would I recommend or repurchase this product? That would be a definite 'Yes'! 😃

YBP Makeup Perfector Sponge Lust - Black

 This makeup sponge is by far the closest 'Indian brand' dupe I found for the Beauty Blender sponge. At first i thought that the Real Techniques one was a dupe but now after discovering this YBP sponge, I think it performs just like the Beauty Blender sponge. It costs Rs. 1200.
It comes in a cylindrical box which is great because that box can be used to store the sponge.
It is very soft and absorbs the excess makeup very well when dabbing. It expands into the perfect size when soaked in water. It can reach all the creases and crevices of the face when applying make-up. This is my go-to face sponge when it comes to face tools for makeup.
This sponge is very easy to clean. No special brush cleanser is needed to clean the sponge. A mild baby shampoo or soap can be used to clean the sponge. This a definitely a recommended product.

NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil:

Ok, so this is my second purchase of brow pencil because it was so great when I used it for the first time. The thing that I love about this pencil is that it has a spoolie on one side and a retractable brow pencil on the other side. It is somewhat a dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz. This brow pencil gives a perfect hair like stroke on the brows because it's tip is very fine. It is not too waxy and looks great if and clear brow gel is applied over it.
